The 26 seat, contemporary whisky and cocktail bar in the heart of Melbourne’s Chinatown, is the first offering from Melbourne bartender Andy Chu. With over 13 years working across some of the city’s and the world’s biggest venues, ONE OR TWO is the combined result of passion and experience, shining through in one simple concept.

Inspired by the Japanese TV series Midnight Diner, which depicts a small bar open between 12am-7am with a host of colourful characters that visit over the course of the night, ONE OR TWO embodies the spirit of Japanese hospitality – exceptional ice cold drinks served with famous familiarity and warmth, where everyone is welcome. Founded in the traditional Japanese design aesthetic of wabi-sabi, the beautiful transience and the impermanence of nature, ONE OR TWO puts quality first. With chic minimalist fit-out of natural wood and monotones – it’s an always inviting, yet ever-evolving space. From the lighting, to music, simple snacks or changing monthly cocktail menu, each visit is flavoured by a fresh new hint of this ever-changing experience.
